Charlton Athletic 1 - 1 Hull City
MADJID Bougherra's second-half equaliser earned Charlton a point against Hull at The Valley.
Both sides made a nervous start and Charlton were restricted to a long range free-kick from Matt Holland which sailed well off target.
Frazier Campbell almost took advantage of confusion in the Addicks defence on 20 minutes but the Tigers striker headed over.
He atoned for his miss 17 minutes later when he fired the visitors ahead with a carefully struck low shot from 15 yards.
Former Addick Bryan Hughes was booked on the stroke of half-time after a clash with Danny Mills.
Charlton drew level 12 minutes after the restart when Jerome Thomas's free-kick was nodded on by Chris Iwelumo and Bougherra fired it home.
Danny Mills was at the centre of a series of angry incidents against his former club and picked up his second yellow card in the 72nd minute after showing dissent to the referee following a challenge from Caleb Folan.
Hull substitute Stephen McFee produced a fine save from Nicky Weaver four minutes later as the visitors looked to make the numerical advantage count.
Ian Ashbee headed inches wide from David Livermore's 80th minute corner and Nick Barmby should have won it for Hull in injury time when he volleyed wide with the last kick of the game.
