Tariqe Fosu will not be fit to start the League One play-off final if Charlton get there, Lee Bowyer has revealed.

And the Addicks caretaker boss has ruled the winger out of their semi-final first and second legs.

Fosu, who has scored nine goals this season, injured his hamstring in the 1-0 win over Portsmouth last month. He is expected to return to training in nine days.

Bowyer told News Shopper: “He’s ruled out of the semi-final games, hopefully we’ll have him back for the final.

“But there’s a lot of football to be played between now and the final. It would be nice to have him back.

“If we’re in the final, he’d be a nice option to have coming off the bench because he wouldn't be able to start.”

Meanwhile, Lewis Page will also miss the play-off semi-finals after suffering a nasty gash on his knee.

The cut forced him off against Blackburn last Saturday, and he will be sidelined for two weeks to allow the wound to fully heal.

Anfernee Dijksteel, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring problem, will return to the matchday squad for the trip to Rochdale this weekend.
