Fleetwood boss Uwe Rosler expects Charlton to win promotion to the Championship this season.

The Addicks have assembled a squad to compete at the top-end of the League One table.

Karl Robinson’s men travel to Fleetwood today looking to end a four-game winless run.

And Rosler believes Charlton have been backed by controversial owner Roland Duchatelet over the summer.

He said: “Karl is a good man, I enjoy the games against each other.

“He has now shaped a team for his way of football, they have invested well in the summer, they have brought good players in and he will do a good job at Charlton.

“He is very ambitious. He had been in the Championship with MK Dons and he will want to go back there. He did not go to Charlton to be satisfied with League One football and that is what he is striving towards, to the Championship.

Charlton Athletic are a big force to be reckoned with this season. Karl is a very good manager, who has taken a team out of this division.

“They have a very ambitious and a very good manager who is backed by the board.

“He put his signature on the squad when he reshuffled it in the summer - look at the numbers in their squad compared to our numbers.

“I expect them to go up this season, the chairman expects them to go up this season. That is what they are aiming for.”

Charlton summer signings Mark Marshall and Ben Reeves are set to start on the bench against Fleetwood.

Marshall has recovered from a knee injury sustained in pre-season and Reeves has built up enough fitness to make the squad.

Meanwhile, Fleetwood are set to welcome back star man Conor McAleny, who has been out with an ankle injury since August. The striker was on loan at the Valley in 2015.
