Charlton beat Northampton 4-1 to earn their second league win of the season.

Goals from Josh Magennis, Ricky Holmes and Jake Forster-Caskey ensured the Addicks maintained their 100 per cent home record.

Marc Richards pulled one back for Northampton late on, but Karl Robinson’s men never looked in any trouble.

Here is how News Shopper rated Charlton’s players…

Ben Amos - 7 - Made two great saves in the first-half to deny Richards - and looked dominant in goal.

Chris Solly - 6 - Defensively solid throughout and bombed forward when he could.

Patrick Bauer - 7 - Dealt with Alex Revell’s presence well, and was typically dangerous from set-pieces.

Jason Pearce - 7 - Reads the game superbly, and never looked troubled.

Jay Dasilva - 7 - The Chelsea loanee is such a threat for Charlton when he attacks. It’s so refreshing to see, given the Addicks’ defensively minded left-backs of the past.

Ahmed Kashi - 8 - Broke up play on numerous occasions and lost the ball just once. He controls the midfield in every game he plays.

Jake Forster-Caskey - 8 - He was always in the box when Charlton went forward, and was in the right place at the right time to get the Addicks’ third and fourth goals.

Tariqe Fosu - 6 - A quiet day for the young winger, who showed glimpses of his outstanding potential. Left Northampton players on the floor at times with his skill.

Billy Clarke - 8 - Probably his best game in a Charlton shirt since signing in the summer. Always picked the right passes in the final third.

Ricky Holmes - 9 - He was a constant threat, and assisted and scored the Addicks’ first and second goals. He is the best winger in League One. Charlton’s man of the match.

Josh Magennis - 7 - Perfect way to celebrate his new contract with a goal. But should’ve scored another in the second-half.
