Preston have agreed a £1m fee to sign long-term Charlton target Declan Rudd.
The Norwich goalkeeper was on-loan at the Addicks last season and made 40 appearances.
And Valley boss Karl Robinson expressed his desire to keep Rudd on a permanent deal.
The former England Under-21 international triggered a one-year extension to his Norwich contract in May, however, Preston boss Simon Grayson is still desperate to bring him to Deepdale.

And the Canaries’ signing of highly-rated Manchester City stopper Angus Gunn could force Rudd out.
The 26-year-old has had two separate loan spells with North End - and is set to make a permanent move there, according to The Sun.
He would be competing with Chris Maxwell for the no1 shirt as Grayson hopes to mount a promotion push.
