Crystal Palace want to sign Le Havre star Ferland Mendy.
Mendy, who operates as a left-back, has just one year left on his contract.
The French defender has been watched by Ligue 1 trio Monaco, Marseille and Lyon.
And Palace face more competition from West Brom, Brighton and Birmingham for Mendy’s signature.

But Sky Sports says Monaco have identified the 21-year-old as a top replacement for Benjamin Mendy, who has been strongly linked with a £40m move to Manchester City.
Patrick van Aanholt is Palace’s only fit out-and-out left-back as Pape Souare continues his recovery from a car crash which left him with serious injuries last year.
