Ex-Charlton striker Simon Makienok has joined Utrecht.
Makienok had unsuccessful loan spells with Charlton and Preston in the Championship, scoring just eight league goals.
But the Danish forward has now signed a three-year deal with Eredivisie side Utrecht after leaving parent club Palermo.

Makienok, 26, said: “The next chapter is here. I am so delighted that this deal could go through, and I can now look forward in my career with a new very, very exciting club.
“I can't wait to meet all my new team-mates and people around the club and fans. See you soon.”
Makienok will hope to emulate fellow Charlton flop Reza Ghoochannejhad, who netted 20 goals for Heerenveen in the Eredivisie last season.
