Charlton fans have reacted with disbelief after former striker Simon Makienok scored for Preston against AFC Bournemouth.

The Denmark international joined the Addicks in July 2015 on a season-long loan deal from Italian outfit Palermo.

But Makienok failed to impress in SE7, only scoring five goals in 37 games for the club as they suffered relegation to League One.

The 25-year-old was offered another chance in English football in the summer as Preston secured his services on another one-year loan move.

And after failing to find the back of the net in his first five games for Preston, Makienok opened his account for the Lilywhites in the EFL Cup clash against Premier League new-boys Bournemouth.
