Fredrik Ulvestad says he is delighted to join Russell Slade’s “interesting project” at Charlton.

The Burnley midfielder completed a season-long loan move to SE7 on transfer deadline day, becoming Slade’s 11th signing of the summer.

Former Charlton players Nick Pope and Johann Berg Gudmundsson both joined Premier League new boys Burnley earlier in the window.

And Norway international Ulvestad said he spoke with the duo about Charlton.

“I spoke with both of them and they just had good things to say about Charlton so I’m really looking forward to it,” the 24-year-old told the official website.

“I’m very happy to be here and I’m looking forward to the season so hopefully we can go all the way.”

Ulvestad, who will take part in his first Charlton training session on Thursday morning, added: “I had a little chat with him [Russell] and it’s a very interesting project here so I’m looking forward to being a part of it.

“I can’t wait to start now. I’m really looking forward to training and to meeting the lads.”

When asked what he will provide the Charlton team, Ulvestad replied: “I’ll bring some energy in midfield, I’m good with the ball and hopefully I can score some goals.”
