Ademola Lookman is still a Charlton player after the Addicks rejected any attempts from other clubs to sign the teenager.

Local rivals Crystal Palace emerged as the surprise frontrunners to launch a move for Lookman on transfer deadline day.

However, Charlton rejected an opening £4.5m bid from the Eagles and reportedly told any interested parties that it would take double that amount to force them to even consider a deal.

Lookman, 18, flourished for the relegated Addicks last season and has again shown glimpses of his potential this term.

Premier League clubs have scouted the forward for several months and West Brom and Tottenham were also said to be weighing up deadline day moves.
