Charlton are in the process of terminating Zakarya Bergdich’s contract.
The Morocco international did not feature in any of the Addicks’ pre-season friendlies after failing to report back for training earlier in the summer.
News Shopper understands Bergdich, 27, was heavily fined for his conduct over the summer.
The winger signed a four-year deal with the club in July 2015 but only started 11 league games during the 2015/16 campaign.
Bergdich has recently been targeted by French side Lens, who finished sixth in Ligue 2 last season.
