Russell Slade admits there is speculation over the future of Charlton duo Callum Harriott and Jorge Teixeira.

Portuguese defender Teixeira arrived at the Valley last January and impressed for Charlton in the second-half of the season in the Championship.

Teixeira’s agent recently told News Shopper that clubs had made approaches for the 29-year-old.

When asked whether there was any imminent news regarding the player, Slade said: “Not that I’m aware of as we speak.

“But as you know we’ve lost a few players from the group who played last season. Jorge could be another one who will interest someone.”

Slade also suggested there was interest in Harriott, 22, who graduated through the Charlton academy.

The winger is nearing 100 league appearances for Charlton and was linked with Barnsley earlier in the summer.

“There’s speculation around Callum,” Slade told News Shopper.

“He’s another one who has rolled his sleeves up and had a good pre-season.”

Cristian Ceballos, the former Tottenham youth player, joined Sint-Truiden on a season-long loan deal earlier in the week.

Slade insists the 23-year-old attacker has ability, but said he was perhaps better suited to another European league.

He added: “Cris has got technical ability, there’s no doubt about that. Is he suited to the Championship and League One? Probably not.

“Maybe Portugal or Belgium – that type of environment – will suit him better.”
