Charlton midfielder Ahmed Kashi could miss up to four months of action following complications with his Achilles injury.

The same problem ensured Kashi, 27, only featured in 13 of Charlton’s games last season.

The Algerian, who signed for Charlton in July 2015, returned from a long lay-off towards the end of the campaign and the club hoped he would feature before the start of the new season.

However, Charlton confirmed today that he could now be sidelined until November after suffering complications with the long-term injury.
