Former Charlton loanee Simon Makienok is reportedly a target for Championship club Preston.
The Denmark international, who spent this season at the Valley, is widely expected to leave Palermo this summer.
News Shopper has been told several foreign clubs have expressed an interest in the 25-year-old forward.
Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet say Preston are also plotting a move for Makienok, who only scored five goals in 37 games for the Addicks.
It is claimed the Dane would agree terms with the Lancashire club and that Preston are in talks with Palermo over a summer switch.
Makienok impressed in his early appearances for the South Londoners last summer but quickly fell down the pecking order in SE7.
