Charlton striker Igor Vetokele is in talks over a move to Belgian club Sporting Lokeren.

And News Shopper has been told that a £1.5m fee is being discussed, which is around a million pounds less than what the Addicks paid for him in 2014.

Vetokele, one of Charlton’s highest earners, was signed from F.C Copenhagen on a five-year deal two summers ago.

Following an impressive start to his Valley career, he has been plagued with numerous injuries and only featured 18 times last season.

The Angola international was one of the first players through the door under then-boss Bob Peeters, and notched 11 goals in his debut campaign in England.

The striker is expected to leave Charlton following relegation as the club look set to slash the wage bill.

The Addicks are still searching for a manager to replace Jose Riga.

They were unable to reach an agreement with Chris Wilder, who subsequently joined League One rivals Sheffield United, while talks with Billy Davies have shown no signs of progression.
