One Arsenal fan didn’t get the memo, however, and declared on social media his certainty that Yaya Sanogo would not score a hat-trick at the weekend.
The French striker had not scored a single senior goal for over a year before Saturday’s fixture against Reading.

Twitter handle @goonerclaude said he would run naked down Regent Street if Sanogo bagged an elusive hat-trick, but after the talisman obliged he backtracked.
