Ademola Lookman is ready to snub interest from Chelsea and Tottenham to stay at Charlton, News Shopper understands.

Since breaking into the Addicks' first-team in November, the 18-year-old has attracted the attention of several top flight clubs including Chelsea, Tottenham and Southampton.

Three goals in three games – including a first-half brace against Bolton – offered a glimpse of Lookman’s potential in December.

The forward’s impressive progress was halted by a hamstring injury, which has left him sidelined for Charlton’s last four games.

However, a return to first-team action appears imminent and Lookman could feature against Blackburn on Saturday.

Further transfer speculation will inevitably come Lookman’s way, but News Shopper understands that he wants to stay at Charlton despite strong interest from Premier League clubs.

Lookman understands that regular football – something on offer at the Valley – is necessary to develop his game and mature as a player.

Charlton have still not secured the Wandsworth-born star to a new contract but the club hope to keep hold of their prized asset, with a substantial offer required to even tempt the Addicks to sell.
