Why did Charlton star Johnnie Jackson wear a short sleeve shirt in 1ºC temperatures at Birmingham on Saturday?
Eyebrows were raised when the Valley stalwart trotted out oblivious to the near-freezing conditions.
It certainly did not affect the Addicks skipper who scored his 50th goal for the club in the 1-0 win - lifting the South Londoners out of the relegation zone.
When asked about his macho look, he laughed and said: “My dad would disown me if I ever wore long sleeves while playing football.
“Even when I was younger, if I ever had them down he would come to me and say ‘get those sleeves rolled up, son, and get stuck in.’
“That’s been my motto ever since.”
When the weather gets inevitably colder, fans can be sure to see a short sleeved and gloveless Jackson.
