Charlton are prepared to offer former Chelsea first team doctor Eva Carneiro a role at the Valley after her legal dispute is settled, reports say.

Carneiro, 42, launched a claim for constructive dismissal against the reigning Premier League champions last week, following her suspension at the end of the first game of the season against Swansea.

The Gibraltar-born sports medicine specialist was publically criticised by Jose Mourinho when she ran onto the pitch to treat Eden Hazard.

The Blues boss claimed Carneiro was “impulsive and naive” for attempting to aid the winger, as her introduction ensured Hazard had to be taken off, leaving Chelsea temporarily with nine players on the field.

According to the Evening Standard, the Addicks want Carneiro to work alongside physio Erol Umut and club doctor John Fraser, but will not move until Carneiro’s legal dispute is resolved.

Carneiro officially left Chelsea in September and has taken her case to an employment tribunal, opting against accepting a severance package offered by the Blues.
