Morgan Fox has committed his future to Charlton by signing a one-year contract extension.

The 22-year-old defender has become an integral member of Guy Luzon’s squad, starting every league game so far this season.

His consistent performances were even rewarded with a call-up to the Wales squad at the beginning of September.

The Welshman was mentioned as a potential Manchester United target, with the Premier League club searching the market for defensive reinforcements following the injury Luke Shaw suffered in the Champions League.

However, any speculation of a move to Old Trafford appears to be futile as Fox has agreed a deal with the Addicks that will keep him at the Valley until the summer of 2018.
