Sheffield Wednesday have signed Charlton defender Rhoys Wiggins this afternoon for an undisclosed fee.
Wiggins joined the Addicks from Bournemouth in 2011 and was a key figure in the club’s League One title success.
However, he struggled to regain his place in the first team after eventually recovering from an injury picked up in the 3-0 win over Brentford on February.
Morgan Fox became a regular at left-back under Guy Luzon, with Wiggins forced to settle for a place on the bench at the end of last season.
Wiggins’ solitary goal in 128 Addicks appearances came in a 3-2 win at Rochdale in September 2011.
