Darts star Michael van Gerwen has been in sensational form ahead of the upcoming Charlton Masters event, which takes place at The Valley early next month.

Following disappointment in the Premier League Darts final, where table-topping van Gerwen was beaten to the title by Gary Anderson at the O2, the world number one has claimed impressive tournament victories in Dubai and his native Holland.

And there are still tickets available to see the Dutch sensation’s return to Charlton on July 2, where he will be joined by former Premier League star and world championship finalist Andy ‘The Hammer’ Hamilton, oche legend Bobby George and Andy ‘Rocky’ Jenkins.

Before then, ‘Mighty Mike’ will be featuring in the televised Japan Darts Masters and the World Cup of Darts in Germany, where he and Raymond van Barneveld are bidding to defend the Netherlands’ title.

And van Gerwen sees no reason why he can’t be heading to The Valley having added both titles to his ever-growing haul.

“My form is fantastic and I’m really enjoying my darts at the moment,” said van Gerwen, who won the Dutch Darts Masters on Sunday and averaged over 100 in every round.

“I’ve won a lot of tournaments this year and I want to keep it up. I have a busy schedule but the more games I play means the better chance I have to keep improving.

“That is why events like the Charlton Masters are important to me because they are relaxed but competitive and you are playing against top players.

“It is the best kind of practice but it is more than just practice because I always want to win everything.

“I’m looking forward to playing in Charlton again.”

Tickets to see darts sensation and world number one van Gerwen at the 2015 Charlton Masters on July 2 are available online at dartshop.tv or by calling 08450 180 180 or 03330 144444.

A VIP reception is available for VIP ticket holders, including an exclusive meet and great session with all four players.
