Charlton came off second best in Saturday's 3-1 defeat at high-flying Middlesbrough.
Patrick Bamford's early opener was cancelled out by Johann Berg Gudmundsson's stunning 37th minute equaliser.
However, the Addicks were behind again two minutes after the break after Jelle Vossen restored the home side's advantage.
And Lee Tomlin wrapped the points up late on to ensure Guy Luzon is still searching for his first victory as Charlton manager.
The Addicks are at home to Norwich tomorrow evening.
