ISTEAD & Ifield Harriers were out in force at three different events yesterday.
Three members competed in the Orpington 10k, where another cruised to victory in the 2k fun run.
Fiver runners were in action at the Weald of Kent 10-miler, while at the Medway Town and Gown, Jackie Day was the first lady, and first over-35 female, to finish.
Alan Cowan was the first man over 50 to finish in this new race.
The previous week saw 10 of the club’s runners run in the Bluewater 10k, which started at 8.30 am.
At 10.30am, the race rated by runners as the second best in the country, the North Downs Run, started.
Despite it being our own race, 18 of the clubs runners took part, with Steve Cable the third over-40 runner to finish, placing ninth overall.
