A TEENAGE runner from South Darenth went one better than last year with victory in Sunday’s Bluewater 2k challenge race.
Georgina Ladley, 14, from Paddock Close, finished second in 2008 but managed to become the first female to cross the line 12 months later to land the £50 shopping voucher prize.
The run took place in the Bluewater traffic confines and accompanied the main 10k race.
She said: “It was very hot but it all fell into place on the day and I was excited and helped on by the vast supporting crowd.”
