Greenwich junior stars at triathlon national championships
A GREENWICH youngster picked up a bronze medal at the British triathlon inter-regional championships on Saturday at Eton Dorney Lake.
Colfe's student Tom Simpson, 12, was competing in the tristar two U13 race at the Olympic venue, which consisted of a 300m swim, 6km cycle and an 1.8km run.
The Greenwich Tritons Triathlon Club member said: "I was very nervous before the start, but once the race was underway I felt fine.
"I've been training really hard over the summer so it was great to get a medal."
