Wands climb up table after win at Concord Rangers
CRAY Wanderers gained their second consecutive away win in the Ryman Premier League and moved up to 10th in the table after putting four goals past Concord Rangers without reply.
Cray's only change to the starting eleven from last Saturday's 3-1 win at Enfield Town was to restore Joe Vines at the back, with his brother Paul making his second start for the Wands in the forward line.
As had happened at Enfield the previous Saturday, the Wands were in front after just four minutes of play.
A catastrophic mix-up between home defender Easterford and goalkeeper Jordan gave Leigh Bremner a gift goal into an empty net.
Cray 'keeper Andy Walker made a good save to keep Cray ahead at half time, and then came a big turning point in the game on the hour mark when the Essex team's centre half Steve King was red carded for a sliding tackle.
Against ten-man opponents Cray piled in three late goals with Paul Vines getting on the scoresheet on 77 and 89 minutes. The fourth goal was added in the 90th minute with a great finish by substitute Laurent Hamici.
Cray: Walker, Burgess, Sterling, Day, Willy, J Vines, Stavrinou, Saunders, P Vines, Clark.
Cray are at home to Bury Town on Tuesday night (7.45pm) then home to Arlesey Town on Sunday (3pm).
