Sittingbourne brush aside Shooters Hill

SHOOTERS Hill were unable to contain a powerful Sittingbourne pack in a 29-5 Kent One defeat.

Half back pair Harry Barham and Edmar Vinluan stood out but other areas of the game left Shoots trailing.

The visitors ran in a try in the first minute followed by another and despite some territorial gains, Sittingbourne collected a third try after pushing Shoots over the line for a half-time 21-0 advantage.

Playing down hill after the break, Shoots worked hard to get to the 22m area where centre Peters Evans drove on to gain a penalty, from which Glen Miller drove over the line. But it was not enough to prevent a further try, followed later by a penalty. Injuries and absences held Shoots back but they will hope for more success when a full sqaud is available.
