Addicks fans urged to back Supporters Trust
CHARLTON followers are being urged to back an initiative to set up a Supporters Trust.
A meeting will be held at the Charlton Conservative Club on September 25 where a vote will be taken to endorse the Trust, with representatives from Supporters Direct set to attend.
Supporters Trusts have become commonplace throughout the game but Charlton are one of the few clubs to have one, something organisers of the meeting are determined to put right.
Interim chair of the Charlton Supporters Trust Barnie Razzell explained: “The main objectives are to represent the fans and positively engage with the club as it progresses in the future.
“The purpose of the Trust is to preserve Charlton Athletic Football Club for this and future generations.
“Most of the clubs Charlton compete with benefit from a strong and vibrant Supporters Trust and now, as the team and club are building for the future, is the time for Charlton fans to show their support and join us to help make the Trust and the club a success.
“This can firstly be done by attending our next meeting which is on September 25.
“Secondly, by registering your support and subscribing to our mail list firstname.lastname@example.org
“Please include your full name, date of birth, email and postal address.
“We will also soon be starting a membership scheme that fans can participate in.”

Meanwhile, Charlton academy director Paul Hart and U21 professional development coach Nathan Jones will both be attending Bromley Addicks’ first meeting of the season on September 26.
The meeting will be held in the Bromley Conservative Club at 27 Elmfield Road, BR1, 1LZ and starts at 8pm.
