Old Colfeians 16–20 Beckenham

OLD Colfeians lost narrowly to Beckenham in their opening London Division 1 South home game on Saturday.

OCs had the better up front in the forward battle, whereas Beckenham dominated in the backs.

However, three yellow cards and some back-chat to the referee did not help the Colfeians’ cause and ultimately proved decisive.

OCs scorers were Terry Allen (try) and James Poole (one conversion and three penalties).
