Sidcup tennis player makes early Wimbledon exit

THE Wimbledon dream is over for Sidcup’s Lewis Burton after he and doubles partner George Morgan were knocked out by Belgium’s Steve Darcis and Olivier Rochus yesterday.

The English pair won the first set 6-4 to give their higher ranked opponents an early scare.

However, they went on to lose the next three sets 7-5, 7-6, 6-4 to ensure they exited the men’s doubles competition at the first hurdle.
