THE closure of Ha-Ha Road for Olympic Games test events is likely to lead to a series of delays for Addicks fans, the club warned this week.

The road, which is a main access route to the stadium for fans travelling to and from Welling and Bexleyheath, will be closed until May 7.

This includes both of Charlton’s final two home games of the season against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday and Hartlepool United on May 5.

ADDICKS fans are being encouraged to dig out a dotty outfit in aid of the club’s favoured charity and to celebrate promotion at Saturday’s match against Wycombe Wanderers (3pm).

Charlton chairman Michael Slater will run the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for Demelza Care for Children the following day and the club is dedicating this weekend’s home match to the hospice.

Volunteers will collect donations around the ground before kick-off and there is a special prize for best dressed fan.

FORMER Addicks assistant manager Eddie May passed away on Saturday at the age of 68.

The Epping-born central defender joined Charlton’s coaching staff in January 1983 and became Lennie Lawrence’s assistant manager the following April, but left the club in January 1986 when he was asked to take over Tommy Taylor’s duties as reserve-team coach because he felt it was a ‘backward step’ in his career.

SEASON tickets for Charlton’s return to the Championship go on sale tomorrow with most adult prices increased by £50 on pre-Easter rates.

The club kept its promise to the 9,200 who committed early to raise prices, but adult seats remain available from £290, with over 60s and U21s from £200 and U18s £99.

All U11s stay at £49.

At the same time, seasonal hospitality prices for 2012/13 will rise by 10 percent compared to the renewal rate available before April 5.

ONLY a few hundred tickets remain for Charlton’s final fixture of the season against Hartlepool United on May 5, which will see a promotion party and could even see Johnnie Jackson lift the League One trophy.

Ticket prices have returned to standard prices, except the Jimmy Seed Stand, which is £15 adults, £10 over 60s and U21s and £5 U18s.

See cafc.co.uk or call 0871 226 1905.

TICKETS are currently on general sale for Charlton’s matches against Wycombe Wanderers at The Valley on Saturday and Preston North End at Deepdale on April 28 (both 3pm).

See cafc.co.uk or call 0871 226 1905.

FANS have one more chance to vote for the 2012 Charlton player of the year before Saturday’s match against Wycombe Wanderers (3pm).

Volunteers will be located around the ground prior to kick-off to collect supporters’ preferences and the winner will be announced on May 6.

Fans will also have the opportunity to select players for a new Addicks Hall of Fame - see cafc.co.uk for details.

CHARLTON’S U18s started the final week of their season with a 4-1 home win against Norwich City on Saturday, Adebayo Azeez (2), Tobi Sho-Silva and an own goal on the scoresheet.

The title-seeking Addicks will travel to Milton Keynes Dons tomorrow and play their final fixture away at Leicester City on Saturday (12pm).

ADDICKS chief executive Stephen Kavanagh handed over a cheque for £2,000 to the Charlton Community Trust at half-time of the last home game against Walsall on Easter Monday.

The money is the club’s share of the £248,000 distributed to clubs from the Community Shield match at the start of the season.

The money will be used by the trust at its new Valley Central community centre based at the stadium.

AFTER serving a four-match ban following his red card at Huddersfield Town last month, Darel Russell will be available for selection for Saturday’s match against Wycombe Wanderers.

Scott Wagstaff returned last weekend after missing one match due to suspension, while Danny Hollands will miss one further match following his dismissal against Oldham Athletic on Easter Saturday.

THREE of Charlton’s 1998 First Division play-off heroes will answer fans’ questions at Bexley Sports & Social Club, Calvert Drive, DA2 7GA on Thursday.

The meeting of North West Kent Addicks, featuring Sasa Ilic, Eddie Youds and Mark Bright, starts at 8pm.
