CHRIS Powell is delighted with Dany N'Guessan's impact since arriving in SE7.

The Frenchman has been in impressive form for the Addicks since joining on loan from neighbours Millwall until the end of the season.

N'Guessan has started two of the three games he has been available for since heading to The Valley, scoring twice in the process.

Powell explained: "You cannot ask for much more than two goals in three games.

"He made an impact in his first game and contributed to a good 3-0 win over Yeovil.

"It was difficult at Huddersfield after we went down to 10-men.

“Unfortunately I had to reshuffle and take him off.

"The good thing about Dany is he has come with a real freshness about him because he has come on loan.

"He wants to impress myself and the supporters and he has been training very well, which he followed up with 20 minutes of impact against Leyton Orient which led to a wonderful goal."

And Powell knew what he was getting after working with N’Guessan during his spell as a coach at Leicester.

He added: "In his performances so far he has looked good.

"It helps that he knew myself and a couple of the players before joining.

"He's very fit, physically strong, quick and he is not fazed if he is deployed out wide or if I play him down the middle. He is very adaptable and has made just the impact I was looking for.

"When you bring someone in on loan in March with nine or 10 games to go, you want them to fit in and lift the place and the team, which he has done alongside Lee Cook."

Both N'Guessan and Cook will be available for contention as the Addicks travel to Oldham on Saturday before welcoming Walsall to south east London.

Powell is happy with the current state of his squad going into these important games.

He added: "We have no injuries so we are in a good position.

"People always say that picking from a fully fit squad leads to difficult decisions but I think this is a good position to be in.

"I have a lot of good players at my disposal and a squad that is ready for each game.

"We are right as rain at the moment and long may that continue."
