VOTING gets under way on Easter Monday for the 2012 Charlton player of the year.

Volunteers will be located around the ground prior to kick-off for the games against the Saddlers and Wycombe Wanderers on April 21 and fans will also have the opportunity to select players for a new Addicks hall of fame - see cafc.co.uk later this week for details.

FORMER Charlton chairman Richard Murray is recovering well after suffering a mini-stroke, it was announced last week.

Murray, who remains a club director, was chairman of the club in a number of capacities for 15 years from 1995.

Executive vice-chairman Peter Varney said: “I have spoken to Richard and he is in good spirits.

“Everyone at the club sends him their very best wishes and we hope to see him back at The Valley very soon.”

FANS have one more day to buy their season ticket at The Valley for 2012/13 at this term’s prices, with supporters who delay purchasing until the team’s status next season is confirmed facing significant increases.

The price freeze until the end of Thursday means adult season tickets are available from just £240, while U18 and U11 prices remain £75 and £49.

To purchase, call 0871 226 1905 or return an application form to the commercial centre by 5pm on Thursday, or renew online via cafc.co.uk until midnight.

Applications with a postal date before April 5 will still be processed if they arrive after Easter.
