CELTIC have told Charlton reports linking them with a move for striker Yann Kermorgant have no foundation.
Addicks fans were alarmed this morning to read a Scottish newspaper claim Neil Lennon was preparing to make a bid for the Frenchman, who has been a big hit at The Valley since his arrival from Leicester earlier this season.
However, Chris Powell was happy to put the record straight this afternoon after being told by the Glasgow side there was nothing in the story.
The Addicks chief said: “We’ve had contact with Celtic just to clarify the situation and we’ve been told there is no interest whatsoever.
“Obviously it is January and it is that time of year.
“People will watch our games and watch players, but we’ve been told by them that there is no interest whatsoever.”
