CHAIRMAN Michael Slater has indicated Charlton are seeking to strengthen their squad despite already making 22 signings since the summer.

“We won’t be anywhere near as busy in the January transfer window as we were during the summer, but the recruitment team is still making plans,” he said.

“No matter how well things are going, everybody behind the scenes is working on the basis that improvements can always be made.”

BEN Hamer will be available for selection for Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash at Sheffield Wednesday after serving a one-match suspension against Fulham last weekend.

The Football Association rejected Charlton’s appeal against the red card Hamer earned on New Year’s Eve against Leyton Orient.

John Sullivan featured at Craven Cottage, while Nick Pope was recalled from a loan spell at Welling United to be on the bench.

JASON Euell has switched one home for another by joining AFC Wimbledon on loan until Valentine’s Day.

The forward, who returned to The Valley this summer, will join Terry Brown’s side for a month and goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s League Two clash at Port Vale.

Euell, who joined Charlton from Wimbledon for a then club record transfer fee of £4.75m in 2001 - long before the club's relocation to Milton Keynes - has made 15 appearances for the Addicks so far this term.

Meanwhile, the loan of Yado Mambo at Ebbsfleet United was extended for a further month on Monday until February 4, with the Addicks now having the ability to recall the defender at 24 hours’ notice.

FANS can secure a place at five of Charlton’s league games until the end of April for less than the price of four by using a Jackson’s Five flexible multi-ticket.

Priced £69 and £99, the five-voucher booklets can be exchanged for match tickets for any home League One games.

What’s more, every booklet includes a Superstore discount voucher worth 10 per cent off all Macron merchandise.

CHARLTON’s first game of 2012 started 15 minutes’ late due to a power cut affecting the upper north stand. Chief executive Stephen Kavanagh later apologised to supporters who were inconvienced at the match against Brentford.

The power cut, which took place at 2.20pm, affected the club’s lighting, CCTV and fire alarm system.

SEASON-ticket sales at The Valley have risen year-on-year for the first time since the club lost its Premier League status in 2007.

A bumper return of more than 350 13-game season tickets has seen the total purchased for 2011/12 reach 9,200 - eclipsing last term's final tally of 9,190.

A GOAL from Fliss Gibbons saw the Charlton women’s team return to action with a 1-0 win at Cardiff City in their first match of 2012 on Sunday.
