ALAN McCormack has been allowed to leave Charlton by mutual consent and looks set to join Swindon Town.
The midfielder had one-season left to serve on the two-year deal he penned last summer after being signed from Southend by former manager Phil Parkinson.
McCormack made the majority of his 23 first team appearances under Parkinson but became a periphery figure in the latter stages of last season with Chris Powell in control.
The 27-year-old is expected to agree a deal with Swindon but he might not be the only one of Parkinson’s summer 2010 signings set to move on, with striker Paul Benson being stronly linked with a move to League One rivals Notts County this morning.
