THE mayor of Bromley was guest of honour as Bibcos Bowling Club in Orpington hosted a relaunch day to mark the start of the new season.
Councillor George Taylor wasn’t the only attraction on the big day because the event was also attended by England international and the new national indoor national champion Greg Harlow.
Harlow participated in the afternoon bowls drive, ensuring as many club members as possible alternated to his rink.
The club was delighted to have such a personality to inaugurate their new surface and get their season off to a successful start.
Bibcos Bowling Club is situated in Bodmin Close, Orpington, and was established in April 1998.
Although a lawn club, they play on a synthetic surface.
The original surface has served its purpose and a new more modern surface has been relaid in readiness for the forthcoming outdoor season.
