DUE to the unavailability of some members of Charlton’s 1998 First Division play-off-winning side, a planned reunion dinner at The Valley next month has been cancelled.

The event was organised to raise money for the club’s academy set-up, and everyone who has already bought tickets will be reimbursed.

MEMBERS of the Target 40,000 committee, comprising Charlton directors, officials and supporters, were due to meet last night to discuss the next step of the club’s 2011/12 season-ticket sales strategy.

Fans had until yesterday to renew their place at The Valley at largely reduced rates and the committee will now make recommendations to the board concerning potential price increases.

STARLET Jordan Cousins is preparing to travel to Serbia for the U17 European Championship finals after helping England qualify for the tournament last week.

Cousins featured in all three qualification games as Northern Ireland, Belgium and Spain were defeated.

The Young Lions will now join seven other countries in the finals in May, when they could also secure a place at the U17 World Cup.

TICKETS are currently on general sale for Charlton’s home games against Huddersfield Town on April 16 and Rochdale on Easter Monday (both 3pm).

Seats are priced £17.50, £22.50 and £25.50 adults, £13 and £17.50 over 60s and U21s and £5 all U18s.

TICKETS for Charlton’s away matches against Oldham Athletic on Saturday and Bristol Rovers on April 23 (both 3pm) are currently on general sale, while seats for the final away match of the season against Walsall on April 30 were due to go on general sale this week.

PROMISING keeper Conor Gough, midfielder Freddie Warren and striker Tosan Popo will be offered professional contracts with the Addicks, the club announced last week.

But fellow second-year scholars Stephen Camacho, Joe Carter, Brandon Hall and Connor Morris will all leave Charlton this summer.

Gough has recently signed work experience terms with Conference South side St Albans City.

The 2010/11 dinner, which is being organised by the reconstituted fans’ forum for the first time, will take place at The Valley on May 1 and admission, which includes a hot meal, is £25.

In addition to the awards and speeches, there will be a raffle and disco with the entire Charlton first-team squad and management in attendance.

Fans will be able to vote for their player of the year at the home matches against Huddersfield Town on April 16 and the Easter Monday encounter with Rochdale.

A GOAL from Jamal Willer wasn’t enough as Charlton’s U18s were beaten 2-1 by West Ham United on Saturday.

But the Addicks have the opportunity to quickly get the defeat out of their system when they took on Fulham in a rearranged game at Sparrows Lane today.

The U18s next face Leicester City away on Saturday.

GEMMA Bryan’s 14th goal of the season gave the Charlton women’s team a 1-0 victory against Portsmouth on Sunday to keep the Addicks’ hopes of promotion to the Premier League National Division alive.

Charlton entertain West Ham United at Thamesmead Town’s Bayliss Avenue on Sunday (2pm).
