KENNY Jackett says he will not be drafting in any new players just because the loan window has opened.

Millwall have been hit by a mid-season injury crisis but with the walking wounded now slowly but surely beginning to return to the fold, the Lions boss is more interested in making use of what he has already got.

Jackett told News Shopper: “We have until the third Thursday in March to use the loan window.

“Right now I’m looking for people coming back from injuries.

“We are hopeful Darren Ward, Tony Craig, Hameur Bouazza, Tamika Mkandawire will be fit by the start of next week and Josh McQuoid a couple of weeks after that.

“I’m looking for those players to come back but there are two things.

“If a hole appears, like it did at the centre half position a few weeks ago where everybody got injured, then we will have to cover it, or in the case of Hameur Bouazza where there is a player who is a complement to what we have got.

“He is an attacking left-sided player who is left-footed and that is something we haven’t got within the club since Jason Puncheon left.

“There are two issues there and if either of those issues come up we won’t hesitate to use the loan market before the end of March.”

The Millwall boss also ruled out any immediate loan departures from The Den.

“I’m not necessarily looking to let anyone leave at the minute,” said Jackett.

“We haven’t got a lot of players anyway.”
