WITH Charlton’s scheduled match against Southampton on January 29 has been postponed due to the Saints’ involvement in the fourth round of the FA Cup, so the Addicks will instead travel to Rochdale (3pm).

This follows a further rearrangement of the match postponed on December 4 due to a frozen pitch at Spotland.

The game was rescheduled for March 15 but has been brought forward by the Football League.

Charlton will now travel to St Mary’s Stadium on April 5 (7.45pm).

LIVERPOOL loanee Nathan Eccleston made his debut for Charlton during Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Sheffield Wednesday, having signed on loan until the end of the season two days earlier.

The 20-year-old striker consulted former Addicks midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, now at Anfield, before agreeing to the switch to SE7.

Meanwhile, Paul Benson will this weekend serve the final match of his three-game suspension.

TICKETS are currently on general sale for Chris Powell’s first match as manager at The Valley against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday (3pm).

Fans should note home tickets are now priced £17.50, £22.50 and £25.50 adults, £13 and £17.50 over 60s and U21s, and £5 all U18s following the VAT rise to 20 per cent earlier this month.

Also currently available are places for the home clashes against Colchester United on February 1 (7.45pm) and Peterborough United on February 12 (3pm).

The event was being organised by Addicks legend Keith Peacock but his recent spell as caretaker manager has meant he has been unable to properly prepare for the event.

CHARLTON’S U18s are due to return to action on Saturday for the first time since December 11.

The Charlton women’s team will try to play their London Cup match against Mauritius Sports again on Sunday (2pm) after last weekend’s game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Thamesmead Town’s Bayliss Avenue.
