LIONS boss Kenny Jackett admits he is excited by this weekend’s eagerly anticipated visit to Nottingham Forest.
Forest were one of the pre-season Championship favourites after finishing third last season but Jackett has taken hope from the fact fellow promoted sides Leeds and Norwich have already taken a point home from the City Ground.
He said: “I’ve seen the DVDs of when Leeds and Norwich went up there.
“It is interesting for Forest because they will have played all three of the promoted sides at home by Saturday and two of them did alright so far.
“Hopefully we are in a decent groove as well and there is no reason why we can’t go there and play well.
“I’m hopeful everybody will be fit and available with Theo Robinson, albeit coming in late, increasing our forward options.”
Jackett added: “I’m really looking forward to it, it is a great game and they are up there with Leeds.
“They finished third last year and have a great home record.
“When you look through their squad, they have a really strong one for Championship level.
“We will have a good following going up there as well and they’ll make a lot of noise up there.
“It is closely followed by some fantastic games and when you look at the fixture list, these are the ones you look for.”
