It was a bank holiday weekend of mixed fortunes for Thamesmead Town. After exiting the FA Cup at the preliminary round stage on Saturday, Mead bounced back with victory in the Ryman League on Monday.

However on Monday Keith McMahon's side turned in a first class display as they returned from Essex with 3 points defeating Redbridge 2-1 in a Ryman league Division One North encounter. Lewis Tozer set Mead on their way with a 25th minute penalty before Gabriel Momodu hit a second goal 8 minutes into the second half to send the visitors catupulting 9 places up the league table.
Mead play host to Ware in a league this match this coming Saturday.
