WELLING United’s U10s are celebrating after winning the London Cup at Mile End Stadium.
The Wings held a narrow 1-0 interval lead over Parkwood in the final thanks to Alfie Shaw’s opener.
But the Wings turned on the goals in the second half as Shaw struck again and Tom Hever and Rohi Orie also found the target to secure the crown.
More than 100 supporters made the journey to east London to cheer on the Welling boys and there was a double celebration when the team were presented with the trophy at the Easter Monday Park View Road game with Dover.
Management team Dave Shaw, Jason Muir and John Cotton were delighted with the result and the trip praised the boys for playing as a team and performing their individual roles to a high standard on the big day.
