FINN-ISHED DEAL: The next Sami Hyypia was last week captured by Charlton as the academy signed up Finnish U16 international Jani Tanska, after striking a four-year collaboration with Finnish Cup winners MyPa. The talented defender, one of the most promising players on the continent, is the latest product of the Finnish side that propelled the likes of Liverpool defender Hyypia and Jari Litmanen to worldwide attention.

SHAUN BAN: Two-goal striker Shaun Bartlett will miss Charlton's match against Norwich City on Saturday as he serves the one-game suspension picked up when he was sent off for deliberate handball against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
