SWINDON Town have made an enquiry about Charlton defender Yassin Moutaouakil.

The Frenchman remains the club’s biggest earner but has remained a periphery figure at The Valley since being signed by Alan Pardew in 2007.

Moutaouakil spent the first half of this season on loan with Motherwell before returning to the Addicks early in the new year.

Parkinson has made no secret of the fact he would like to see the player move on again and although there was initial interest from Swansea during the January window, the Welsh side failed to follow it up.

However, the manager revealed today League One promotion rivals Swindon had recently been in touch.

Parkinson said: “I did have a call from Swindon Town about Yassin this week but they haven’t come back to me.

“They asked us about his availability.

“He has got his agent working hard ringing as many clubs as possible and says he has got a few other potential interested parties, but the only call I’ve had is from Swindon.”
