PHIL Parkinson says he is pleased Reading have agreed to extend David Mooney’s loan stay at The Valley.
The Irish striker has impressed since his arrival from the Madejski on a one-month deal by bagging two goals in six appearances.
However, that deal was due to expire on December 1 until this afternoon’s confirmation Mooney will stick with the Addicks until December 28.
Parkinson told News Shopper: “It is good news and I’m happy David is staying.
“He has done well for us and gives us something extra when he comes alive in the box.
“I’m not expecting anyone else to come in on loan today before the deadline, although there is a good chance Dean Sinclair will be joining Barnet until January.”
The Addicks boss has until Tuesday to decide whether to extend Elliot Omozusi’s one-month loan from Fulham and admitted there is a strong chance he will do so.
“It is definitely a possibility,” he explained.
“Kelly Youga and Frazer Richardson both have injuries, while Christian Dailly and Miguel Llera are only one booking away from a suspension, so we are a bit short at the back.”
