DARTFORD'S 100 percent start to the season continued last night as they recorded an emphatic 5-0 home victory over Kingstonian.

The result comes hot on the heels of Saturday's 3-1 win at Hastings but manager Tony Burman is refusing to get carried away, despite seeing his side set the early pace in the Ryman Premier League.

Lee Burns continued his fine form last night, grabbing a hat-trick to make it six goals in four games this season.

Ryan Hayes and Elliot Bradbrook also got on the scoresheet.

The manager confirmed he is delighted with the team’s start to the season and the impact Burns has made.

However, he stressed the success has been a collective effort first and foremost.

Burman explained: “They've done well. Last night they were very good but they've worked hard in all of the games and have deserved all of the victories.

"There's not been anyone you could say has had a poor game, they've all done well and worked hard. They've deserved their 100 percent record."

On Burns, the boss added: "He has gone and played up-front. He's a little bit make-shift up there but has done very well."

Dartford scored early on at Hastings through Burns and took control thanks to a Rob Haworth goal just before half-time.

Burns helped himself to a second after the break and despite Hastings pulling a goal back, the Darts cruised to a comfortable win.

Burman said: "I was very pleased. We managed to score early on and then got a goal a before half-time which killed the game off."

Looking forward to Saturday's home game with Wealdstone, Burman encouraged his team to carry on working hard and ensure the positive results continue.

He said: "If the guys work as hard as they have been, which I'm sure they will, we'll be difficult to beat.

“We want to make it difficult for anyone to come to Princes Park and get anything.

"At the moment, we're just looking to continue the run."

Burman has the added bonus of having no injury or suspension problems going into this weekend’s clash.

"I'm hoping we'll have a fully fit squad for the first time this season,” he added.

“Hopefully we'll have some decisions to make.”

Burman also dismissed the possibility of further comings and goings at the club, stressing he's only concerned with keeping his current squad together.

He said: “The only players I have my eye on are my players.

“Everyone is OK and we're happy to continue the way things are going.”
