A HOST of star names from Charlton’s past are set to take part in a fundraiser for former Welling player Derek Brown later this month.

Brown represented the Wings 112 times during their Conference heyday, but suffered a broken leg when Welling’s veterans side took on Charlton’s veterans in a friendly.

He has been unable to work since as a result of the injury and all of the proceeds raised from the rematch on April 30 at Park View Road will go towards Brown and his family.

Admission prices for the game, which kicks-off at 7.45pm, are £7 for adults, £4 for concessions and £1 for children accompanied by an adult.

Welling United’s squad includes Paul Copley, Terry Skiverton, Gary Abbott, Tony Reynolds, Terry Robbins, Glen Knight, Tony Dolby, Duncan Horton, Wayne Brown, Mike Rutherford and Steve Robinson.

Charlton’s squad includes Gary Nelson, Mark Kinsella, Mark Penfold, Colin Walsh, Paul Gorman and Andy Jones.
