ERITH & Belverdere had a blank Saturday last weekend because of the FA Cup qualifying fixtures.
But the Deres were in Dr Martens Eastern League action against Hastings United during midweek where they earned a 1-1 draw at Park View Road.
A goal from Adam Morrish for the home side cancelled out Rooke’s opener for the visitors.
The point was not enough to lift Erith out of the bottom two but the draw means the Deres have lost only one of their last five games.
Hastings took the lead in this bottom of the table clash after only three minutes and the Deres equalised in the 34th minute when Morrish unleashed a 25-yard volley.
The Deres will be kicking themselves as they wasted three good opportunities to win the game in the second half but had to settle for a draw.
The Deres were playing the Dr Martens League Cup first round tie against Ashford Town as we went to press.
Next Tuesday Erith play Essex league side Waltham Abbey in the first round of the London Cup.
